Lincoln, Illinois, has many claims to fame.

One of them is even in its name.

It's the only town in the United States named after Abraham Lincoln

before he became president.

Like here at our office is where he christened the town with the watermelon

when the town was named after him.

I believe they poured some juice and seeds on the ground and that was that.

Now there's a two foot long steel watermelon in town

that marks the occasion.

I mean, how could there not be? And there's a lot of other sites too.

We have the world's largest covered wagon.

We also have the mill museum, the Tropics Neon Sign.

But Alice says that out of all of these,

there's one spot in particular

that attracts maybe the most questions from visitors.

It's not the watermelon, it's not the covered wagon, it's the phone booth on top of

City Hall. They're usually like,

they hear there's a phone moved on city hall.

They're kind of almost cautious about it

because they don't know.
