Praise the Lord. Let's turn over to John Chapter 18. And I want to start sharing something. I'm going to be teaching in a series all of this week. But I've been thinking a lot about this. And I just really felt like this is what God wanted me to minister on. And this is the instance where Jesus was before Pilate, and Pilate was asking him questions.

Let me just read a portion of this.

It says in verse, this is John chapter 18, and in verse 31, then said Pilate under them, take ye him and judge him according to your law.

The Jews therefore said unto him, it is not lawful for us to put any man to death that the

saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which he spake, signifying what death he should die.

In other words, he had prophesied that he would be crucified

and the Jews didn't crucify. The Romans had to do it. And so Pilate didn't realize it, but

he was being forced into this because it had been prophesied that the Romans would crucify him.

And in verse 33, then Pilate entered into the judgment hall and again, and called Jesus and said unto him, art thou the king of the Jews?

Jesus answered him, sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?

Pilate answered and said, am I a Jew? An own nation and the chief priest have

delivered thee unto me. What hast thou done? Jesus answered, my kingdom is not of this world.

If my kingdom were of this world, then would my servants fight that I should be delivered,

should not be delivered unto the Jews,

but now my kingdom is not from hence.

Pilate therefore said unto him, art thou a king then?

Jesus answered, thou sayest that I am a king.

To this end I was born, and for this cause came I into the world that I should bear witness

under the truth.

Everyone that is of the truth heareth my voice.
