Welcome to the P.H.L.Y. Sixers postgame show here on this Wednesday night with Kyle Newbeck, Derek Bodner. I'm Devon Givins.

And the Sixers back in action. The Big fella. What is he averaging like 49 and a half against this basketball team?

Because he put 48 on them in November 6th in their win.

And he's just, he's getting busy against the squad.

By the way, defense optional in this one.

Yeah, absolutely.

Kyle, man, hey, another big time performance from the big fella.

Well, first of all, late night basketball. What did you can tell that you're a father? Yeah. You know, you're getting back into this whole swing of things. It worked. That was a seven o'clock early start. Derek and I, I'm sure, were celebrating that coming in, but. Yeah, look, man, that was, it's very rare that the sixers need a 50

ball from joel to beat a bad team i mean he's only really getting 50 balls against teams that

are susceptible to it but normally the question this season has been will he play the fourth quarter against a team like the Wizards, right?

Like, he's been dominant in these games so much so that Tyrese maxi gets to throw that finishing blow to start fourth quarters and Joel hits the showers.

Well, that wasn't the case tonight.

This was a very clear, either Joel is dragging them to the finish line

or they are cooked. And thankfully, Joel had enough in the bag up until the final minutes of the

game that he's able to get him over the line. So thank God for that. I know we're a couple of weeks

after Thanksgiving now, but I'm very thankful for Joel and Bede and his 50s spot. I'm very

thankful for Kelly Ubrae and him lifting him during those minutes that to try to get without Joel and Bid on the floor, start the fourth. I'm very thankful for all of that because I did not want to come into this studio and talk about a loss to this freaking Wizards team. That would have been dreadful. So thank you to all of those mentioned. Really not a whole lot of thanks for anyone else. Tyrese. Tyrese was good offensively and we'll get into why that disclaimer is necessary. But that was a terrible defensive performance that the Sixers overcame because Joel and Bede is incredible. The Wizards have nobody that can defend him. And they got just enough offensive contributions to gloss over the fact that they were a train wreck for most of the night defensively.
