I'm I'm Well, when you get to a Wednesday in September and you get to a Wednesday in September and you start to look ahead to the start of training

camp preseason and all that goes into getting ready for the regular season, time to look back

at some of the things that could have happened, maybe should have happened, would have happened

in Sixers history. Welcome to the PHLY Sixers podcast along with Derek Bodner. I'm Devon

Givens. Brianna here producing, as always, many of you in the chat. And we can't wait to get this

one going because it's going to be a fun one discussing as we begin a new series for the rest of

the summer. We'll see how things go going forward, but it was something that we

definitely wanted to do for the rest of the summer on Wednesdays, a what-if Wednesday, and we look

back at some things in Sixers history, some more recent, maybe some going a little bit further back,

but right now we're going to start just a few years ago in 2017 looking back at a player who we've

discussed this summer because of his free agent situation right now coming off of his

finishing his fifth season with the Orlando Magic before that he was a 2017 number one

overall pick for the Philadelphia 76ers and that is one Markell Fultz,

who is still out there, still available, not on anyone's roster. And quite frankly, all three

of us, all four of us, Bree included, have been surprised that he has not been snatched up by a team

and added to a roster because of his age, his ability on defense, he can

still run a team.

He is still fearless getting to the rim, but we're guessing that maybe some of the shooting

woes and the issues there are certainly a problem for Markell Fultz.

And one more thing before we get to Derek's opening thoughts.

The Sixers do have an open roster spot. Now, they have a

bunch of guards. We know Tyrese Maxie. You add Kelly Ubrae if you want in there, but Kyle Lowry,
