As you know, we've just ended the African American History Month,

and Carter G. Wilson established

And he established for three, four reasons.

One was it was the birthday of Frederick Douglass.

We don't know the exact date, the birthday of Abraham Lincoln, who established the emancipation

proclamation, and also the birthday of w b de boys

Du Bois is born February 23rd 1868 in great Barrington Massachusetts my wife

was pregnant with our second child and and and she went in labor in February 22nd

and so as we went to the hospital I said dear if if you this child tonight, he'd be born on George Washington's birthday.

And I have, you know, I didn't say anything about Mr. Washington.

But if you hold out a couple of hours, we'll have a Du Bois baby.

And you could imagine young men and ladies, ladies, what you would say to your husband 10 or 15 years down the road.

You would, you know, call him every name but a child of God that she called me.

But he was born on February 23rd, so we do have a Du Bois birthday.
