Hey everyone, this is Mary DeMuth and this is Pray Every Day where I have the joy and the privilege of praying you through the Bible verse by verse.

Today we're in Philippians chapter 2. We're going to finish it up verses 14 through 30.

But before we do that, I want to pray for someone with stomach issues.

I have battled an ulcer for a long time, so I know what that's like.

Jesus, I lift up my friend with stomach issues. If it is about stress and worry, I pray,

Lord, that you would help them to find ways to rest, to have Sabbath, to offload some of that

worry and stress. If it's a medical reason, I pray the doctors would have the appropriate

way of developing the why and why that's happening. Of course, I pray your Holy Spirit would just

mix it right now and fix it. But Lord, help them to get to the bottom of the why and help them

to endure as they are going through this.

I also pray for those going through chemo and radiation, which often will affect the stomach

and the GI tract.

So I just pray for gentleness there and healing.
