Eric Hulterman here with my guest today, Robert Orr of Baseball Prospectus and FtN Fantasy and the creator of my favorite new baseball metric, Seeger. More on that for the bulk of today's show. Also, we'll be getting to

some Phillies because Robert, in addition to being very smart in his creation of baseball metrics,

is very smart in his choice of

his favorite team he picked the one that is the best team in baseball this year so uh robert how's it going

it's going pretty good um thanks for having me on yeah let's uh start with the headlines as we always

do and we are going to start with a Phillies headline. So we're

going to book end the show with some Phillies talk. Hopefully this one doesn't turn out to be too much

of a headline, but Ranger Suarez was hit by a comebacker early in his start last night and had to

leave the game. So far, the news is not so bad. The x-rays came back

negative and there's some swelling, so maybe he'll miss a start. But man, this got to feel like

a bullet dodge for Phillies fans and anyone with Ranger Suarez on their team, because what a

season he's been having. Yeah, definitely. I think that was generally the theme of all the quotes yesterday.

And he seemed to be a good spirit.

So I read that he hit underneath of a table in the locker room and surprised the reporters after the game.

So that seems like a good sign as far as how he's feeling.

Yeah.

Well, normally hiding under the table and feeling good may not be linked,

but I think in this case, yes, I think that's a good point. So would lean towards whereas being
