I'm your host Steve Schwartz, and we're on a five-year journey from Genesis to Revelation and today we begin our study in the wonderful

New Testament Book of Philippians, a book that's really a letter, and we'll soon learn from Dr.

J. Vernon McGee that Paul wrote this letter to believers in

Jesus Christ whom he met on a second missionary journey. So while you hop

aboard the Bible bus and find your seat, Greg Harris, through the Bible's

president, is here as promised to update you on home groups

that's really growing into a movement. It is Steve and we want to explain that just

a moment but I'll quickly say for those of you who may be newer on the Bible bus or maybe you're still

struggling what is a home group it's it's as old as the new testament it's

gathering in homes to listen to biblical teaching that happens to be through the Bible and because it's a

limited curriculum it's introducing people to systematic study who have never

experienced it before we can add dozens and dozens of new languages very quickly.

Yeah, and I also love the fact that if Bangladesh is any model for that, that typically one-third

of all those participants are not believers in Jesus Christ.

This is not a Christian first community.

These are people that are Hindu, Muslim, and they're open to the teaching of God's word.

Right, and so the question we also want to answer is, why do we call it a movement?

Because what we are doing is we are equipping national pastors and then their training leaders

and as the groups grow through evangelism, then they split because they don't want

them to get bigger than about 10 people.
