Good evening. Welcome to our midweek Bible study.

It's all it is.

It's a Bible study in the middle of the week.

Nothing fancy, just us, gathered around the Bible.

So we are in the book of Philippians.

We want to turn there, get that ready.

We have some visitors from Windlock, Washington,

Dirk, and Jen Wee Bush are with us. Where are you guys? Right here, right up in the front.

They were with us on our 2022 trip to Israel. Good to see you here in the house. Let's have a word of prayer together and we'll get

started. Father, thank you for your word. We pray you'd strengthen us. Give us insight by your

spirit as we finish out this first chapter of Philippians. We want to place our bodies before you, present our bodies to you, present our bodies to you as living sacrifices.

Lord, take our hands, our feet, our eyes, our mouth, our ears, the very faculties you have given to us to apprehend our environment and to impact

our world, I pray you will use us as your instruments, your tools in this city.

Lord, not only on one day that we are calling Love Day, but that we would love show your love throughout

the year on all days. And Father, help us to understand what the needs are and to be set our

mind to the work and be optimistic that we filled with your spirit can face any obstacle.

Thank you for this time together. We ask in Jesus' name, amen.

So we're in the book of Philippians.

And Philippians, as we mentioned last week, is oddly a book filled with joy.

Oddly, because it was written by a prisoner in jail.
