1:04.4	expertism that is different than the scientific method which says that you have
1:08.4	greater authority on a subject if you happen to be trained as an empirical expert in that subject.
1:14.0	We saw this in our country and around the world in the rise of COVID-19,
1:18.0	the limitations on what you were able to debate,
1:21.0	whether or not you were an expert of a particular class.
1:24.0	And this is interesting because actually the scientific method itself depends on open debate.
1:30.0	It depends on the inquiry of ideas, of no ideas being out of bounds.
1:34.4	And yet in the name of pursuing capital S science,
