Auburn baseball season comes to an end as they lose to Louisville five to three.

You can't blame them for, you know, they didn't give up.

Absolutely didn't give up fought to the finish.

And so congratulations to Butch Thompson and this team for one of the most successful

seasons in the last 22 years.

Right.

And I think the feeling is that if Butch Thompson can do this with some of what they lost last year,

especially when you look at having to replace a guy like Casey Mize,

someone that the program had never really seen a talent quite like that.

And I say that with some hesitancy because I realize Frank Thomas, excuse me, Frank Thomas,

Beau Jackson, Tim Hudson are not names to scoff at.

But a number one overall pick, I think next year, Auburn fans should feel good about where

this program is.

They keep going further every year under Butch Thompson.

Generally, I think most people would agree this team ahead of schedule and a great run at the right time of the year, even though it ended with a very disappointing result.

Yeah, absolutely. And I think the way that they lost in Mississippi State is going to kind of stick with them for a little bit.

But they'll get over it,

they'll move on, and they've got a situation to be really good next year. When you look at the

weekend rotation, I think you can have, I mean, obviously Tanner Burns will be your guy.
