I'm Phil Schumann sitting in for John today. Thanks very much for the opportunity to be here once again.

You know, I'm a huge AM radio fan, always have been.

And so this is just a great opportunity for me to hear what you are thinking, share some of my thoughts on what it's like

to deal with life here in Southern California, which, as we know, is not easy. And talk about

some of the pros and cons of the Southern California lifestyle. I was thinking about that today.

I mean, looking out the window here in Burbank, absolutely gorgeous.

I know it's been a little hot lately, but the weather is probably at the top of the list, which sounds, you know, somewhat transparent, but it's legit.

The beaches, the food, the shopping, the entertainment choices, the job market.

But, of course, one of the cons, some of the cons are the cost of living.

Traffic, taxes, limited public transportation, for example.

And then another huge one, and it's in the news every day, is crime.

And over the weekend, I know we've been talking about this here on KFI today,

but did you see, have you seen the video of this group ransacking the 7-Eleven store in San Pedro?

It happened, I think, at 2 a.m. Saturday. And it's just, it's just shocking. Basically,

dozens of people just swarming into this 7-Eleven in San Pedro.

They're estimating maybe 50 people and then knocking over shelves and stealing everything.

I mean, yes, you can get cigarettes.

You can get some cash.

You can get some snacks.

But I mean, what are you really going to get in a 7-Eleven? And it's just to me, it's just indicative of sort of this lawlessness that we're living in right now,

which makes just that day-to-day enjoyment of Southern California so challenging.
