It's funny talking to you because I'm a fan and I'm not a fan of basketball.

But I'm interested in coaching and I'm interested in people doing their best work.

It feels like that and I wanted to compare notes.

Barely.

What's a barely that you do?

Guitar barely, like punk rock level, you know.

What music did you like growing up?

First was the Beatles from young childhood.

Beatles and the Monkeys, British Invasion, that whole, you know,

when I was three years old to, I don't know, seven or eight years old,

that that was the music that spoke to me.

And whatever singles, like whatever seven-inch singles were coming out at the time that were, you know, hits on the radio.

Some of them spoke to me.

And then it was comedy albums for a period of time.

I only listened to comedy albums like George Carlin and Cheeching Chong and Bob Newhart, Rodney Dangerfield. It was just a whole wave of comedy that I really got into. And then it was hard rock was next, which would be like Aerosmith,

ACDC, Ted Nugent. Then it was punk rock, and then it was hip-hop.

Where did you grow up in Long Island?

Long Beach.
