Welcome to the politics guys. I'm Michael Baranowski, a political scientist at Northern Kentucky University.

My co-host this week, as always, is Cleveland Area Attorney and sometime Republican strategist, Jay Carson.

We start today with yet another action-packed Weekend Trump. We'll begin with Donald Trump's so-called university, founded as the Trump Wealth Institute in 2005, later called the Trump Entrepreneur Initiative just before it shut down in 2010.

A number of dissatisfied customers sued, and on May 27th, U.S. District Court Judge Gonzalo Curiel granted a request by the Washington Post for public release of some

internal Trump University documents.

Documents that made it pretty clear what a true and utter scam Trump's university was.

Trump reacted by suggesting that Judge Curiel's Mexican heritage means that he has a conflict

of interest in all matters Trump related,

since Trump wants to deport millions of illegal immigrants from Mexico and build his big,

beautiful wall that he claims Mexico will pay for.

Although we should note the judge would not be one of the ones who would be deported.

No, yes.

He actually...

At least under the current proposal.

Yes, it's only people who actually were not born in this country.

He was born in, I believe, Indiana.

So that makes him an American still.

So what did you make of all this, Jay?

You know, there's a lot of stuff going on here.

And first, I'd say, as someone who works in the law, I would typically advise clients not to attack the judge, particularly not to make attacks based on their ethnic heritage.

And usually you don't have to tell clients to that.
