It is, amazingly, the 16th anniversary of the moment that the switch flipped connecting

PFT to NBC sports. A licensing agreement that provides all of our

content written visual audio whatever everything goes to nbc i can't believe it's lasted as long as it did

although when it started like i didn't have a sense that it was going to be a short-term

thing.

They had a need, we had a need.

Our need was mainly the traffic was overwhelming the technological capabilities and I was going

to have to write a very large check in order to keep things going with no guarantee that the revenue would be there to offset the expense.

So it's been a very good relationship for PFT. It's all revenue and very limited expense because NBC provides everything, the

infrastructure for the website, the writers, everything, everything. And 16 years, I don't know how much

longer it will last. I could be fired at any given moment. The monster is hiding under the bed that

could cause me to say something

that will get me fired, or NBC could just decide, you know what, we're sick of dealing with

this guy. We're sick of all the phone calls from 345 Park Avenue about the stuff this guy says

about the national football league in an effort to make it better. Again, when someone asks me,

why do you hate the NFL? I don't hate the NFL.

I love the NFL.

I love it enough to try to make it better.

And I hold the NFL to the ideals that were projected by the indoctrination methods of the early

1970s, I.E. NFL films, the slow motion football in the air.
