And as Devin and I discussed during the show, it appeared that changes were coming to Chicago offense.

That change has now been made.

Shane Waldron out as the team's offensive coordinator.

He was just hired this year, brought in work with Caleb Williams under defensive coach, Matt Iberfluse, to get the most out of the first overall pick in the draft.

They're four and five. The offense has not been good in recent weeks coming out of the buy.

They were sluggish against the commanders. They somehow took the lead late. They

blew it on the Hail Mary. Since then, they've had two ugly losses. And now they basically

try to change the tire on the moving car or, as the case may be, rearranged the deck chairs on

the Titanic. And I feel like that's what it is. I was on with 670 to score this morning, Mully

and Haugh, and we argued a little bit about whether this is going to make things better.

And that's really my question. How is this going to make things better? How is taking a guy

from the staff that collectively was bad enough that the guy running it got fired and making

him the person in charge of play

calling, how is that going to improve things? Maybe it will. We saw it with Cam Cameron out

and Jim Caldwell in for the Ravens in 2012 and they ended up winning the Super Bowl. So I'm

not going to dismiss the possibility. But it's one thing to have contending team that is missing

something and team that is just failing to live up to unrealistic expectations.
