As expected, the Browns have moved on from coach Kevin Cefansky after six seasons.

He went to the playoffs twice, one coached the year, both times because nobody ever expects the Cleveland Browns to go to the playoffs.

And that's the thing that surprises me the most about the move.

We knew it was coming.

Stifansky believed it was coming.

What did we expect from the Browns this year that Sopansky failed to do?

The roster is still in a state of turmoil given the disastrous decision to trade for

and pay a fully guaranteed

contract to quarterback to Sean Watson.

I feel like they've been trying to make chicken salad for the past three or four years

ever since they did that Watson deal, the single worst transaction, I believe, in NFL history,

and that's not an exaggeration when you consider what they gave up financially, what they gave

up by way of draft picks who would now be the nucleus of a young and ascending roster, potentially. The fact that they made the playoffs in the 2023 season is amazing. And look at what else is going on in Ohio. You got Zach Taylor, seven seasons, five years of no playoffs. He's likely coming back. Kevin Kevin Safansky, six years, four years of no

playoffs, he's out. And who are the Browns going to get next? No, usually these owners have an

idea when they make a change who the alternative is going to be. Now, they're required to do a full

and complete search that complies with all league rules and policies, but Jimmy Haslam may have

an idea of who he's going to target to try

to take the Browns to a level that they've never been during Haslam's time as owner of the team.

For now, no indication that GM Andrew Barry is out. Chief Strategy Officer Paul DiPadesta, he left

a while ago. Stefansky now out. We see what

happens going forward. But let's be realistic about it. Haslam is an owner who, by all accounts,

is very involved in the team. He medals. And that's his business. But when it's time to hold
