Sitting across from me is a southern boy who's brought, interestingly, a team spirit to almost every film he's done, be it bring it on or down with love.

Or his new film, Ant Man, each film is there are sides, teams in effect, that sort of like are going for a central goal.

And he's also his first foray into the Marvel universe although

he's flirted with as my understand Guardians of the Galaxy and Fantastic Four

first of all Payton thanks much for being here thanks for having me it's a pleasure

and let's talk about this whole team thing I mean this idea there are opposing

size going for something that's that's a really interesting kind of perspective

to bring to movies.

Yeah, well, I mean, my first film, Bring It On, which was 15 years ago this summer,

which is really hard for me to come to terms with, was just fundamentally about teams.

It was competitive cheerleading.

And that was a screenplay that I read, which my agent at the time time called and said, hey, there's a script called Cheer Fever.

I was like, well, what is that?

And it's a competitive cheerleading movie.

And I was even more confused.

He said, just read it.
