Hello everyone. I'm Olympia. Thank you for being here with me in this wonderful place called Lights Out Library. And I have a great story to tell you.

Tonight we are going to make another long journey through time and space

and explore extraordinary ancient cities, but not regular cities.

The ones we'll talk about tonight are troglodyte or underground works and behind their rock walls or deep underground

they hide a rich history histories and works of art to begin, we'll discover the most famous of them, Petra,

City of the Nebateans, in what is Jordan nowadays.

Petra has been famous among archaeologists for a long time, but it received a boost in popularity

when it was featured in an Indiana Jones movie, the third, as a place where the Holy Grail

would have been kept. We won't find the Holy Grail there, but there is much to explore at Petra,

which is not just a famous facade. The site is large and once was a thriving city in the middle of the

desert. Then we will go to the historical region of

Capadocia in the middle of Turkey.
