Jack Slack, it's the Jack Slag podcast, and we're coming at you following UFC, China, 7am, 5am start, or whatever it was for people on the East Coast, West Coast, wherever.

Middle of the day for me, I loved it.

Or did I? Because whenever I watch a fight live,

I get to live tweet it and I get to engage with people and see other people talking about it.

That's all fun. But then you remember how much of this is just not the fight and I'm watching an

entrance or I'm watching the introductions or I'm watching them patter at the desk. And it's just dreadful.

However, they did find time at 7am Eastern Time to do a send-off for Stipe Miotich.

You remember the heavyweight goat, the guy that they were touting as the heavyweight goat last week

but didn't bother assembling a retirement package for.

What is this company? Literally, it looked like someone left it on a flash drive and forgot to take it to Vegas.

And then they just plugged it in this week and they were like, here he is.

Here's all the stuff we shot, him talking about being a firefighter and other people talking about his fighting career.

So on the one side, continuing the UFC's just being terrible at treating their old

fighters with respect.

But on the other hand, at least Deep Amy Otrich is probably awake at 7am in the firehouse,

watching this stuff.

So the card wasn't bad, I'd say.

Not short on decent moments, some good finishes, a couple of surprises.

Even the light heavyweights came out and had a couple of good fights.

I was really impressed.

And the stinkers were not too stinky.
