Thanks for coming, JD, and today's guest is a sweet, sweet man who in 2020 became the youngest ever winner of the incredibly popular cooking competition, the Great British Bake Off.

He's also the youngest person to ever win the Great British Baking Show.

They're the same thing.

He's the author of two successful cookbooks, Peter's baking party and Peter Bakes. If he guessed that his first name is Peter, you'd be right. If you guess his last name was Bakes, that'd be very cool, but you're wrong. It's Peter Sockins. Welcome to Business Good. Thanks for having me on, Matt. Appreciate it. Actually, quite a lot of people have thought that my last name is Bakes, and loads of people think it and then they're very disappointed that it's not. It would have been very good for branding, but sadly not. Yeah, that's hey, that's nominative determinism. We talked about that before. Like, your parents name me Jeeves, you're going to be a butler. Now, in this case, it's your last name. So I don't know, do you come, you would have had to come from a long line of bakers, I assume.

Yeah.

But I guess in the old days, didn't people used to be named like Smith was a blacksmith? All of the names used to be like that. So there must be, I mean, there's bakers out there, you know? Baker is a classic last name, so they must have been been baker sadly not for me but um you know there we go it is yeah like for instance
