Trump White House aide Peter Navarro found guilty late today.

This is another win for the DOJ in this series of accountability cases.

Peter Navarro convicted on two counts for defying subpoenas, which were first issued after Mr.

Navarro revealed details on the beat about his and Donald Trump's efforts to steal the

election, as well as Navarro's own role in what he called a sweep plan to hijack the

Jan 6 certification.

Now, that led Congress through its committee investigating those issues to subpoena him.

He completely defied that subpoena, taking a far more extreme position than most other

witnesses in Trump A. It's now he generally claimed that he had some kind of executive privilege.

The judge though rejected that in this week's case.

So that teed up a very fast straightforward trial, about three days here.

The jury deliberating for just four hours today, Navarro arguing the entire case was a kind

of political targeting.

He said this just after learning that he was convicted late today, I'm going to show

you briefly.

He argued that none of this was a product of his own very unusual choice to defy the subpoenas.

I am not here convicted because of contempt of Congress.

I'm here because of association with Jason.

That's just wrong.
