Today on Roon Soup, it is my very special pleasure to welcome none other than Peter

lavender, author, adventurer and researcher extraordinaire. He is responsible for a slew of my

favorite books, chief among them being the remarkable Sinister Forces trilogy.

Peter, thank you very much for your time.

It's my pleasure to be here finally.

Oh, absolutely, absolutely. I'm looking forward to this and I think a few people are as well the

traditional first question because we know part of the answer from some of your books

but Peter were you were weird kid. Yes I was. That's a pretty fair

characterization I would say. I was bored in the Bronx, obviously, which I've made no secret of over the past few years.

But I lived in various places around the country.

My family moved around a lot, left the Bronx before I was a year old. Wound up in the Midwest, lived in Chicago for a number of years, lived in some small towns in New Hampshire for about two years before moving back to the Bronx

and eventually graduating from Christopher Columbus High School, which is the same high school

that gave us Christine Jorgensen and

the son of Sam David Berkowitz.

So very strange environment.

My father was an actor. He went to the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. So he was in the same class with Jack Palins and Grace Kelly and he actually acted off-Broadway with Jack Palance. I still have the book books from that

from that time, bills rather. And you know but then left off being an actor my mother was a choreographer at one point

but a lot of other various things and eventually through one thing or another I became deeply involved in in studying religion
