I knew this is where comedy was.

Goni Carson changed my life twice.

It was just like a dream. It was just like everything I had worked for and dreamed about has come to fruition.

They said Johnny fell overlapping.

It makes me so happy.

I made him laugh.

But with Johnny, you knew you had a kid audience and you could really go great.

My wife at the Kirk, all help, they're loose backstage.

People were running up and she'd go back out, go back out.

I walked back to the crew and very calm and Johnny and I took about and Johnny put that little circle up the finger and I am Mark Malcup. This is the podcast where I talk to people whose lives were changed by going on the tonight

show starring Johnny Carson. Individuals that worked on Carson, guests who regularly

appeared on the show and the top people in entertainment that were influenced by Carson.

This week my guest is somebody very special and that is legendary late night talk show

producer Peter LaSalle.

Peter was Johnny Carson's producer for 23 years. He also produced for David

Letterman and is the current executive producer of the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. I can't emphasize enough how much I desperately

wanted Peter Lissale to be a guest on this show. He rarely does interviews. I knew that

going in, so when I found out that he agreed to talk to me I

confess I got very emotional. Sitting down with Peter was an honor and a

privilege we got together at his office at the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
