Peter King is one of the iconic NFL writers and voices of his generation.

He, of course, put in many, many years as a longtime Sports Illustrated writer and then an on-air talent person for NBC sports.

His Monday morning quarterback was essential reading, essentially forever, as long as I can remember following the NFL.

He is now currently writing a book, by the way, about his four decades plus covering the NFL and how the NFL's evolution kind of parallels Peter King's time writing about that league.

Congratulations on Mark Kearney.

Yeah, you can congratulate the, you know, the Canadian citizens who were part of that election.

But yeah, the former owner of the New Jersey General has pretty much changed that election, Peter, significantly. All right. I want to start here.

I want to start with the NFL draft because as long as I have known you, this was a massive undertaking for you. I mean, you used to write significant columns on this. I know how many calls

you would make. You actually were

interesting figure in that. You never really loved the idea of doing mock drafts, but I think

you knew that your audience wanted it. So you did provide that. But this year, you watched it.

And before I get into Mel Kuyper and some other things, I just want to get from your perspective,

like, is it weird to watch it after you were such a part of the reporting process of it?

Not really.

You know, Richard, life moves on.

And there's 9,000 people who cover the NFL.
