What's happening?

Welcome to Wong Notes podcast, Season 3, Episode 3.

My name is Corey Wong.

I am your host, and I'm feeling good today.

I practiced more than I have in the last few years leading up to a recording session that I had this last Sunday.

I'm doing a collaborative album with another band, actually,

Corey Wong and this other band. We're doing an album that we're putting out later this year.

I'll keep it elusive and mysterious, and you'll find out more later. But I had to practice

a lot for this session. It was really fun. So my chops are feeling tight right now. I feel really good.

And imagine that. I practiced a lot. And now I feel like I'm able to play the things that I want to play.

And what my brain is telling my hands to do, my hands are doing it. Wow. It might sound oversimplified, but I have found that the more I practice, the better I sound.

How about that?

Today, we've got Peter Frampton on the show.

Now, of course, most of you know, Peter Frampton is a ledge amongst ledges.

A ledge on top of ledges.

That's how legendary he is.

He's got the best-selling live album of all time, 1976's Frampton comes alive.

And that's actually pretty awesome.

His biggest album is a live album.

That's kind of cool.

I can't think of a lot of other acts that are like that,

where a live album is their biggest album.
