Well, Charles Spurgeon wrote this. He said, true prayer is neither a mere mental exercise nor a vocal

performance. It is far deeper than that. It is spiritual transaction with the creator of heaven

and earth. He further writes, if you believe in prayer at all, expect God to hear you. If you do not expect, you will not have.

God will not hear you unless you believe he will hear you. But if you believe he will, he will be as good as your faith.

Listen to this one from Abraham Lincoln. I know that the Lord is always on the side of what's right, but it's my constant anxiety and prayer that I in this nation may be on the

Lord's side. Wow. Adrian Rogers says prayer can do anything that God can do and God can do anything.

I don't know about you, but what I've learned about prayer with these years is that most of our major

answers and breakthroughs in our life, Kevin I, have come one subtle movement and moment at a time in little nuanced ways, you know, one step at a time.

Prayer is sometimes the most intimate expression of fellowship with our father, and other times it feels like you're getting bloodied on the battlefield.

Other times it just takes a measure of grit to hang in there because it feels like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling and that God doesn't hear you. Yet, prayer is one of the greatest

gifts God's given to us. And access to his presence and invitation to dialogue with him is just,
