Especially this season, I've been getting really surprisingly kind for you back from comedians, comedy fans, and

fans of just hearing how artists make their art and it embigens my little

podcasting heart. You record these things mostly in small rooms with no one around

so it really helps you remember why you're doing it when you hear that has

connected to those outside this quiet space with headphones and

microphones.

Since it's the season finale, I thought I should have a special guess, and I think I do.

It is comedian Pete Holmes.

Besides being the co-creator and Star of Crashing and one of my absolute

favorite stand-ups, this podcast probably wouldn't exist without Pete. Of course,

longtime listeners know, Crashing Season 1 sponsored the first season of Good Ones,

but it's more than that. I seriously

learned so much about how comedians talk and think about comedy from listening to

his podcast, you made it weird. I also learned a lot about how they talk and

think about God, but that's a separate matter.

Though it's not really when you listen to the joke we're talking about this episode,
