It's great to be with you.

The Black Robe Regiment is the name that the British affixed to the American clergy during the American founding era because they blamed the clergy. The clergy wore black robes. It was a derisive reference to the black robes that they wore. And they blamed the clergy for what they called the rebellion, which we call the war for independence.

Hang on, Bill. I don't remember this part,

that it was the British that gave our side the name, the Black Rope Regiment. In other

was, they were the ones to say that it's the pastors in the pulpits, in the 13 colonies

that are trouble.

And so they call them the Black Robe Regiment.

I did not know that it was a term of derision that we kind of flipped to our advantage.

I just learned that.
