to the Jewish people. Friends, as we're coming up to Pesach, let me just tell you a simple little story.

It happened some years ago when I was traveling.

We were in Hong Kong and at the end of a rather difficult day,

I switched on the television and saw a program that I hadn't seen before. I don't know if

you have it here in the States called the Discovery Channel. Do you have that? It's an interesting

– sorry, forgive me, listen, I'm back from the Jurassic era, so I don't know such things.

But what fascinated me was that this discovery channel

was showing a documentary about the temples built by Ramsey's II. Ramsey's the Second is, according

to many people, the Pharaoh of the exodus the pharaoh before whom

Moshe Rabainu spoke and the documentary was showing us the extraordinary temples he built

in Luxor in Karnak, in Abu Simbel.

And the broadcaster was speaking in hushed tones about their grandeur, that magnificence,

how they had survived for more than 300 years, 3,000 years.

And I was really impressed until I suddenly had a thought I suddenly thought

who built those temples our ancestors yours and mine and I imagined a little thought

a little thought experiment, supposing we could travel back in time,

supposing you and I could pay a visit back 33 centuries and actually meet Ramsey's the second.

And I imagine the conversation running along the following lines.

O mighty emperor, we are here from 3,300 years in the future.
