Hey, dessert listeners. It's just me today. I thought I would answer some of your emails. This first emails from anonymous listener, they write

Is it true that couples counseling isn't advised in cases of abuse?

I am not in an abusive relationship, but I often read in the relationship advice subreddit

And when someone writes about how they are being abused

Someone who claims they are a couples counselor says that couples counseling isn't advised in cases of abuse because it tends to escalate the abuse

That counselors are often manipulated by the abuser and end up taking the abuser's side
