1:14.9

Hey, thanks for having me. You guys are so my heroes and it's so cool to be on the show.

1:21.9

I had a question for you guys. So I currently work at a tech company and I'm looking to make a career change.

1:28.9

The problem is I make really good money where I'm out right now and what I'm wanting to go into is a significant pay cut.

1:36.9

So I make about 110,000 per year right now with potential to move up. I just started the company. So there's there's a lot of growth there.

1:45.9

But I not a fan of what I do. I took 10 Coleman career assessment, giving some great ideas and what I'm wanting to go into is firefighting, which starting salaries about 30,000 less a year.

2:23.9

Or do I take the risk and go to a lower paying job and kind of take longer to get, you know, our finances all set up and a down payment for a house because that's ultimately where we'd like to go.

2:33.9

Does that make sense?

Yeah. I worked from home and I'm just like, I'm just like, I'm out and I'm like, I want to do something that's meaningful to me and that sounds a heck of a lot more meaningful.

2:51.9

Have you have you gone on a ride along yet? Are you do you have buddies here firefighters?

2:57.9

Yeah, so I got a buddy that's a firefighter. I've been doing a lot of research into the career itself, kind of what the day to day looks like and all of it kind of fires me out.

3:07.9

But people I've talked to have loved it. Everyone that's kind of in public service. Like an uncle, that's a copy.

3:12.9

I wish I had been a firefighter. But a lot of positive things about it from the kind of the research I've been doing so far.
