We're going to continue a series on prayer. And by the way if you got the

tape from last week, it was blank. It wasn't just yours. It was all of them. And so I actually came back in here on

Thursday and nobody was here and I preached it even better than last Saturday night

I preach last week on personal prayer.

Three weeks ago Brady preached on why bother to pray. I want to talk tonight about

persistent prayer. I want you to look at Luke 11. Now I also want you to

take this marker that you have that you don't know what it's for in your Bible and put it at Matthew 6 because we're going to read

Luke 11 and then we're going to flip over to Matthew 6 and we'll be in Matthew 6 the rest of

the evening other than you know me I'll give you a lot more scripture

but they'll be on the PowerPoint and they're in your sermon notes and this is your

first time here you have notes in the bulletin and I encourage you to write down

what the Holy Spirit says. Jesus gave us an earthly example of

persistent prayer in Luke chapter 11. So that's what we're going to start with.
