A reading from the Holy Gospel has written to us by Luke.

The Lord. as

Jesus continued his journey to Jerusalem. He traveled through Samaritan and Galle.

As he was entering a village, traveled through Samaritan in Galilee.

As he was entering a village, ten lepers met him.

They stood at a distance, and they raised their voices,

saying Jesus, Master, have pity on us.

And when he saw them, he said, go, show yourselves to the priests. As they were going, they were cleansed. And one of them,

realizing he had been healed, returned, glorifying God in a loud voice, and he fell at the feet of Jesus and thanked

him.

He was a Samaritan.

Jesus said in reply, but ten were cleansed, were they not?

Where are the other nine? Has none but this foreigner returned to give thanks to God?

And then he said to him, stand up and go, your faith has saved you.

This is good news from the Lord. On first hearing of God it obviously seems like a gospel about gratitude and in gratitude and it is but not really.

It's much more a gospel about insiders and outsiders. We used to call it

when we taught school the freshman you could teach them anything. Yes, father, no father. What do I do? You have to have that homework in it.

You have to have homework in it, 10 tomorrow it'll be in sophomores you're wasting

your time.

It's amazing just knowing a little bit makes you think you know everything.
