And we are live. Welcome to Episode 3078 of the Survival podcast. It's

something I've threatened to do for the last six weeks as we went through the

permaculture design science series. The original version of that series was

five episodes and I said I might add a sixth. I got up this morning and thought

yeah I'm not done yet. Let's let's go ahead and add that sixth and it is the

one that I've promised you the eight forms of capital and it's something we've

talked about before but I don't know if we've ever integrated it into a series

specifically on permaculture before and we're going to do that today. This one

won't be like the other ones if you're watching the video. I won't be using a

lot of visuals support here. I will show you the original article that came

from. I do deeply believe in the importance of sourcing things that were

created by someone else. I never heard of this before until 2012 and it was

originally written by Ethan Rowland of apple seed permaculture and I want to

actually bring up that article for you today. I hear various people discuss this

concept today most notably Chris Martinson and I seldom hear the people that

talk about this mentioned Ethan Rowland and Gregory Lunda who both contributed

to this back in 2011. Again I first discovered it in 2012 but Ethan was really

the originator of the idea for my understanding. He's the one who put out this

wonderful article. I do have his graphic pulled into my show notes today and

it's sourced and I just think that in addition to this it would be a good idea
