Turn with me, please, to two openings in the scriptures, Philippians, the third chapter, and Hebrews chapter 12.

Now, we've been on a subject for some weeks now called perfection through correction.

And everybody is really excited about it.

Did you feel the surge when I said that?

No, it is wonderful.

Perfection through correction.

Notice in Philippians the third chapter.

Philippians chapter 3, beginning about verse 12, I believe it is.

He said, not as though I had already attained.

We might say today that I have already arrived or already reached that place.

Either were already perfect.

But I follow after, if that I may apprehend, that for which also I am apprehended of Christ.

What did the Lord choose us for and lay hold of us for?

He chose us and laid hold of us so that we could attain unto complete Christ

likeness, which is perfection. You and I are called to perfection.

Now we need revelation of what he even means by the word,

but we just need to accept by faith that if he called us to it,

it must be possible.

Whether we see it and understand it or not, must believe.

In verse 13, brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended.
