The president says he's unlikely to fire the Fed chair as bank CEOs now

defend Fed independence. And Pepsi with the beat, although U.S. demand is weak. CEO is going to

Let's begin with the earnings, though. Jim, there's a lot, too, and you call them halcyum

in some cases. Yeah, we've had two quarters now that really kind of are shockingly great.

This GE numbered, and I spoke to Larry, called the CEO. He's not even done. There's much more,

and yet, Phil and I, Philibot, is best of the business. Going back and forth about how amazing.

I mean, we just can't believe how amazing it is.

And then yesterday, unhurled and unsung, but I'm going to change that.

Johnson delivered a quarter.

I counted 15 separate surprises.

Line by line. 15 different things that they beat on,

all sorts of different metrics. It was such a tour to force that you'd think to yourself,

is something happening in corporate America that is where everyone's been unleashed.
