Welcome to this edition of the People I Sort of Know podcast. I'm Chase Parham, and today's guest is Neil White.

Neil is the owner of Nautilus Publishing here in Oxford.

He's also the creator of the Ole Miss Baseball National Championship photo book, coffee table book that is available in stores now. It's a great compliment

to my book, Resilient Rebels. You really should buy both of them. We talk about that in the show,

but Neil, he put that thing together very fast. It's an excellent book. And we're going to talk a lot

about that today. We're going to talk about the book process, what he and I have both kind of

experienced over the last few months

and how we hope our books have resumated and been great additions to just the memories

of Ole Miss Baseball winning the national championship there back in June at the College

World Series in Omaha.

So we're going to hit a lot about that.

Also, we're going to talk about Neil, his past history with writing and publishing. He is the author of In the Sanctuary

of Outcast, a memoir from I guess about 13, 14 years ago now. It is about his time in a Louisiana

federal prison, a prison that also house leprosy patients. Yes, that is correct.

If you have not heard from that, I heard of that before, but it's an excellent book. I recommend

that. So we go through that writing process a little bit and things that struck me from it as I read

that book as well. So Neil's an interesting guy. He's one of the reasons that my book is out.

He gave me a lot of confidence.

I texted him when Ole Miss had beaten Arkansas in the College Royal Series

and said I had a book idea to get his advice.

And he's been a great shepherd through this process.

He's become a friend as well.
