Vice President-elect Mike Pence attends a performance of the hit Broadway musical, Hamilton.

Hamilton, of course, tells the story of the founding fathers in music and

rap and includes a deliberately multicultural cast as well as a song whose

catchphrase is immigrants, we get the job done.

Pence of course had just been elected alongside Donald Trump, a president who pushed

for much more immigration restriction and an outright ban on Muslims entering the country.

So what happened?
