I don't think you have to do things for money anymore. Correct. What's up, Laker fans? Welcome to the Laker Film Room podcast. I'm Pete, joined by Darius and Mike. And today we preview the Lakers play-in game against the New Orleans Pelicans. And what an unusual bit of circumstances, having been the team that the Lakers just played, Mike, they told you guys,

hey, you know, pack for an extra game because we might be here a little bit.

And that's exactly what happened.

And so oftentimes when you go into these kind of circumstances, D, you're looking at a team that you haven't just scouted.

You haven't just played.

I think there's benefits, and I think there's downsides to that, right? Mike, you, I think

accurately brought up the whole idea of game two is hard if you win that game one on the road,

and that's exactly what the Lakers are going to be trying to do. But Darius, I want to start

off our preview framing things through a defensive lens

because I think that's really the key to this game is the Lakers' level of defensive

intensity and attention to detail.

I thought they came out great on that end.

And that's sort of the best version of this Lakers team as a team

that's defending its ass off and then has enough offensive talent across the board to where
