Hi, I'm David Pena Guzman, and I am neither a comedian nor really that much of a philosopher,

so I fall somewhere in the middle here.

So hello to both of you.

Okay.

We're just inviting regular people on is that what's happening now Mark? I mean you

you teach in a professional setting am I am I wrong about that? No you're right I am an

academic oh, okay. I am a philosopher, so we should say that clearly.

The comedic element is missing.

There's the am I a philosopher philosopher and are you really a philosopher? That's right, you know, if you ask somebody that question, that's when the knives come out and the profession turns into a blood sport.

I found that the professional philosopher association means that, yes, people who belong to that,

identify as philosophers.

People like me, who do a lot of philosophy, have philosophy training,

you know, well I'm not writing. My one book was very much a secondary source in the

philosophy area. So am I a philosopher just because I think about philosophy a lot?
