My guest for episode 224 is Steve Dawson.

He's based in Chicago and perhaps best known for his work with the band Dolly Vardin, you're right now hearing their song,

Saskatchewan to Chicago from their last album for a while from 2013.

That band started recording in the mid 90s, releasing six albums over almost 20 years.

During the last decade of that, he was also putting out solo material after a duets album with his co-front person from Dallyvard and Diane Christensen, he's now had six solo albums,

some of the last couple fronting a band called Funeral Banzai Wedding.

We'll talk about that.

We're going to focus in this interview on a mile

south of town, a song from the new album, Ghosts, then look to the Dolly Varden 2000 track,

The Dumbest Magnets, which is the title track of the album by that name, their third album.

Then look to one of the EPs by the pre-Dolly Vardin band Stump the Host.

The song is Bronco Nagurski from 1989.
