His career started with a bang in 1976

with Graham Parker and the rumor

who put out five albums by 1980 including

perhaps his commercial Apex squeezing out Sparks 1979 you're right now hearing

local girls a popular track from that album.

He went solo in 1982, continuing his major label success

with a steady stream of albums all the way through

around 1996. By that point he was touring

mostly as a completely solo artist. I actually saw him live around that point.

In 2012, Grand Parker and the Rumor reunited for two albums that has morphed into Grand

Parker and the Gold Tops, a new similar soul-based band that has released another two albums. we will be discussing Lost Track of Time from

the latest Grand Parker and the Gold Tops album, Last Chance to Do the Twist, 2023,

then going there by Grand Parker and the rumor from Mystery Glue 2015, the second of the two

reunion albums, then she wants so many things from Grand Parker's Struck by Lightning from 1991 and will conclude by talking about and listening to between you and me

from Graham Parker in the rumor's debut album Howlin Wind at 1976
