Pedro Amadolvar is my first guest this week. He's one of the most acclaimed directors of all time. You make women on the

edge of a nervous breakdown, all about my mother, talk to her. If you've seen his films,

you've seen their extraordinary cinematography, lush, bold, beautiful. You've heard the tight dialogue,

funny, heartbreaking, sometimes heartwarming.

And you know about their, at least at the time, groundbreaking incorporation of queer

characters and themes.

You also know that pretty much all of his films have been set in his home country of Spain

and shot entirely in Spanish.
