Hey, Desirving listeners, I thought I would answer some of your emails.

0:03.9

This email comes from listener Ryan.

0:07.6

He writes, and by the way, trigger warning, this has to do with pedophilia.

0:11.1

He doesn't get into the graphic details, but it talks about pedophilia.

0:16.6

So be warned on that.

0:18.2

He says, a quick disclaimer, I have never and will never harm or abuse a child.

0:25.6

I was sexually abused as a child, and I am still coming to terms with how that has affected me,

0:33.0

and if legal recourse is an option for me. Despite being a pedophile myself now, I could never bring myself to allow the years of physical and mental harm to come to society's most vulnerable at my hands.

0:46.4

1:14.7

huge thank you to you. Few are brave enough to open themselves to public scrutiny by discussing

1:21.6

taboo and controversial topics. But the truth we both know is pedophiles are more dangerous without outlets, and the

1:29.5

problem is only going to get worse, the more we are shunned. Just chiming in here. Yeah, thanks,

1:36.0

Ryan, that's nice. And yeah, I can accept that compliment. On the other hand, in my world,

1:43.6

as a clinician, we don't have taboo topics.

1:48.1

Yeah, the internet or the world or I don't know, YouTube or Twitter or it's a complete different world than my world.

1:56.3

They're increasingly becoming the same, which is not great. But at least for the most part, and particularly

2:03.8

in the past, in my world among clinicians, we talk about everything and there is no worry about

2:12.6

talking about reality, whether it's pedophilia or rape or sexual abuse or sex itself or whatever.
