Hello, everybody.

Welcome to Pink Bike Podcast. I'm Mike Gasmir. I'm joined by Darota Giulio, Matt Beer. And some of us are back from a long weekend. Some are not. But it's peak bike season, or at least approaching peak bike season. Bike parks open, trails are good, World Cup's happening. So we've got a lot to talk about today. Mm-hmm. start. A lot of good stuff. All the new objects as well, but mostly the dirt has been insane. Yeah. Yeah, it's been going off. We've gone through different cycles here in Squamish, but I've got too many different bikes to ride now. I don't know. That's a good problem to have.

Great dirt, good bikes.

Yeah.

Yeah, I had some friends come to town from Colorado.

They were saying that, you know, the corners feel so different. Their bikes were feeling weird to them because there's so much traction. Like, I'm noticing strange things on my bike. I'm like, yeah, that's a grip. Like you're not just scooting across on kitty litter.

You're kind of like looking up in the turns.

And we have some new trails with some really good berms. And they just like lock you in and make you feel like a hero. So yeah, hopefully everybody listening is getting out to ride because really that's the best thing ever, especially this time here. Yeah, we should start. Let's start by just kind of diving right into the World Cup stuff. We had an XC weekend just happened.

And then coming up, we have a downhill weekend and XC coming up. So all sorts.

But did you guys check the cross country race?

Yeah, Novi Mesto, very, very fast course.

Not the most technical one, but it's got some kind of cool little downhilly bits.

And it's just almost like a sprint, the speeds that they're going on that.

Yeah.

There is some, uh, some interesting setups, you know, like XE seems to be normalizing to some

degree in terms of how people approach the bike element.

But, uh, like Canndale was running some like gravel wheels,

like super arrow deep dish things.

They were also running tires that were allegedly illegal because they were so narrow,

which is.

Yeah, we haven't verified it.
