hurried back down from the girl's dormitories.

Vanessa this week we're reading the chapter through the theme of Peace, and it's your turn

to tell a story.

It sure is.

So people often ask me how I ended up at Divinity School.

Fair question, atheist Jew, I went to business school first, confusing,

and I never really have a good answer because I do feel like it was like 15 years in the making,

and it wasn't one clear thing.

But what I can say is that it started when I was 14 years old and read Les Mizz by Victor Hugo

for the first time.

This book blew me away.

The opening hundred pages of the book, there's this really intense moment in which a priest

opens his home to an ex-convect, and he serves him dinner and he invites him to spend the night

and the guest in the middle of the night steals the silverware from the house.

And he's like, if I just steal this, I could change my whole life and I could live a different life.

And he gets caught by the Jean-Dame's, by the police, and he gets brought back to the priest.

And the Jean-Dame says to the priest, he says, this man says that you gave him the silverware.

And the priest says, yes, of course I gave him the silverware.
