| 1:05.9 | you being responsible for higher order reasoning and decision making. And they did this because it naturally thins as we age, |
| 1:12.7 | and chronic stress can speed up that process. |
| 1:14.8 | Between 2018 and 2021, |
| 1:16.9 | the researchers found much more than thinning in these teens than they expected. |
| 1:18.3 | With the brains of the boys prematurely aging 1.4 years, |
| 1:21.4 | and the brains of the girls prematurely aging a whole 4.2 years. |
| 1:25.3 | But these boys and these girls, |
| 1:26.3 | they didn't just have different amounts of thinning. |
