0:29.2	donated to the We Build the Wall fundraising campaign. And if that campaign sounds familiar, we actually
0:33.2	talked about it a long time ago when it first started. But it's been a while, so for some background here, We Build the Wall or WBTW.
0:39.5	It was first started as a viral crowdfunding campaign
0:41.5	by Purple Heart Veteran and Triple Amputee
0:43.5	Brian Colfaj in December of 2018 as a GoFundMe.
0:46.4	That fundraiser had a goal of raising $1 billion,
0:48.6	which is the max limit for GoFundMe campaigns,
0:50.6	with the goal being pretty much what it sounds like, building part of the border wall for Trump. And at that time, Colfaj told reporters that he started the fundraiser because political games
0:57.5	from both parties were holding back funding for the wall and saying that the campaign was about
1:01.4	giving the people the power. And on the GoFundMe page, which has since been removed, Colfaj promised
1:05.4	donors. If we don't reach our goal or come significantly close, we will refund every single penny. And that no matter what, 100% up your donations will go to the Trump wall.
1:13.9	If for any reason, we don't reach our goal, we will refund your donation.
1:17.5	Then just a month later, in January of 2019, Cole Faj decided that it would be more
1:21.1	effective to raise money through a nonprofit instead.
1:23.4	So rather than giving the Trump administration the money, the nonprofit would use it
