0:12.4	and how districts around the country
0:14.0	are planning to reopen for this upcoming fall semester.
0:16.1	You know, there's been this massive debate.
0:17.5	Should schools reopen with in-person classes?
0:19.8	If they do, how should they do it?
0:21.6	Some here floating a hybrid in-person slash online model, others questioning the need to social
0:26.4	distance at all. All the while, you have the Trump administration making this hardline push
0:29.7	to reopen full-time in-person classes. Education Secretary Betsy DeVos saying on Sunday,
0:34.4	American Investment in Education is a promise to students and their families.
0:38.6	If schools aren't going to reopen and not fulfill that promise, they shouldn't get the funds.
0:44.1	Then give it to the families to decide to go to a school that is going to meet that promise.
0:49.7	Right. And that there has been a big hitting pointer, what some would call a threat in the last week
0:53.1	from the Trump administration that if schools decide to not fully reopen, they could lose funding. Though, we have also
0:57.8	not seen the administration explain yet how they would actually do that. Also, of note here,
1:01.5	you also had DeVos saying that there would be exceptions to the rule in that quote, where there are
1:04.9	little flare-ups or hotspots that can be dealt with on a school-by-school case by case basis. However, the situation right now is we're
1:10.9	seeing flare-ups all across the country. Right, I mean, just yesterday, we mentioned COVID-19
